I'm 21(female, nd I want a child with my bf
I (21) lady is dating a 27 year old. We've been together for 3 years. Now. Ever since the beginning of the relationship, the talks around having s child were rather injected partially in, via pillow talks and casual ones. Now completing my final year at tertiary, I'm now extremely pondered with the need if having a child of mine. Its complicated because I know that I am not financially stable nor academically finished yet but the increased tension of having a child is becoming way too big. I have again raised the talks that I won't allow for him to impregnate me before I finish my studies. Anc he has waited since. Him and I had a deal that he'll wait for me to figure myself into completing my studies nd start working. I'm currently doing a n internship at a media company. The psychological effects of having a child are considered. He has always mentioned that if there's is one thing he won't die without doing, would be having a child with me. We share turmoils and stitch back throughout our relationship. Communication is our biggest tool into fixing most of our problems. I love him so.much and honestly, I want a child with him too. I tried showing he's commitment to the relationship but putting me in his medical aid, we have a joint savings account, he's me to making major decisions for his future such as the apartment he's buying, the car will be registered under both our names..the list is endless. Like most relationships, we fight. I sometimes doubt why am I with him. But heart feltedly , I would say that 98% of the time i would rather fight with him.than anyone else. The deep conversations went to as far as us discussing the pros and cons of bring a child into our lives. Talked about the life altering difficulties, emotional rollercoaster, financial crisis were going to face, how much it would for the know and unknown child essential. These included medical care, unexpected lifestyle changes, routines of mom nd dad. And I a modern day woman did open the conversation of if he was no longer with me. Would I be able to care for the baby alone. It was things like that which i conspired that if push comes to shove, can i handle an.absent father? Its overwhelming but possible. I'm not at the rope age, but I become intensely drawn to babies, toddlers even 10 year old. I constantly wished that I would have a human that would simply call me mom. I yearn for the challenges, feeling, disappointments, achievements of being a mom. It's a fever yeah, but a 1 year and 1/2 fever 😪😪😪its becoming an obsession now. A sad one for both my partner and I . At this point being pregnant by mistake would make me the happiest woman alive. No man can ever complete me like a child of mine. Am I being ridiculous or should I give it a shot?

Get married first, then consider children after
21 is very young. Finish your studies first.
It is very important so that you can have a good job and support yourself and your future child if the father leaves. Your boyfriend is older, but also young. You have a long future to have children together. :)
He sounds like a good person and serious about you if you have joint bank accounts, car, etc. But he has no interest in getting married before baby? Maybe he's not so serious....it is a big risk for a woman. Men can walk away and leave you with all responsibility.
Think with logic and reason, not your feelings. Children change your life forever. Big responsibility and no more fun, independence... you always need to worry about the baby and care for baby, it is a lot of work and inconvenience! Enjoy your youth, freedom, and profession before having a baby.
