Lonely and lost
I’m married with a 2 year old son
i moved across country after we got married to be with my husband’s family because he hates the east coast (mostly the cold and the lifestyle). I wanted to be near family for our future kids so we came to the west coast
Now years later, I’m here without friends and with a family I married into that barely spends time together (they are very nice but just not as into getting together like I did with my siblings and parents).
anyway, anytime I get stressed about work/kids/ etc I have a tendency to complain or at time cry to my husband. Sometimes I just need to let my emotions out and basically just move on from that stressor
he has basically told me that I’m a miserable person everyday, even on days that I haven’t complained about something (sometimes I may say shit for spilling something as a knee jerk and he says I’m being dramatic)
the only two days he didn’t say this in the last 2 weeks was when I literally only talked about changing the carpet in the kitchen and stopped calling/ texting him
today I had my son home all day and got a stressful phone call from work. I called my husband and I was upset/crying and he said why would you cry
I actually don’t know why I was crying but I feel like he always is upset with the way I handle my emotions
i tried talking to him about this and again he says I’m dramatic
I just needed a place to vent and hope that whoever read this doesn’t find me annoying as well
thank you do reading
Hello, thank you for reaching out. And you are not annoying and feel free to talk. And feel free to message me, if you want to talk more.

I also have this trait and the consequences are also the same. People find us dramatic. It's sad that even the people whom we love and trust and look upto for support don't try to understand our feelings and insecurities. They just judge when they are the ones out of whom we expect compassion and understanding for us and the void that we feel because of this makes us feel lonely even when in a crowd. They don't even consider the fact that it's not just the venting out we need. We tell them because we trust them and we want them to reassure us that things will be okay. Maybe asking for their understanding is too much of an expectation and we only receive disappointment in the end.
However, don't ever believe that you are annoying. Just because you react differently and show more emotions than him for some situation doesn't make you annoying.
