Midlife Crisis?
Hello everyone, I'm new to 7 Cups and I think I'm going through a midlife crisis. It all started with anxiety and panic attacks few weeks ago. Those have mostly resolved (Although the anxiety still lingers). That anxiety made way into depression and midlife crisis, I believe. I'm just here to connect with other people who are going through a similar issue as me. I guess I'm looking for people who I can relate with.
I'm 40, male, single with no children. I used to be pretty happy until all this stuff just started spiraling out of control. I just feel like life is downhill for me. I remember my 30's just going by so fast, and I feel like my 40's will go by even faster.
Anyway, once again, just looking for people I can relate and chat with. Thank you

Hi @traditionalsane.
Welcome to 7Cup. I hope you'll have many nice hours here at 7Cups, being with other people.
My friend - I'm 69 (today). The last 18 years went very quickly - well - what have I been doing....
So fasten your seatbelts!
From Helga.
Welcome! Glad the panic attacks have subsided :)
I can relate with your experience. I'm also experiencing a midlife crisis at the moment. You can reach out to me anytime you need to talk
Hi I'm new also and I'm here to tell you that you're not alone. You and I have a lot in common around the same age no children and my midlife crisis started with anxiety as well. It's gotten better but it's still there. I too used to be pretty happy in my thirties I felt like I was on fire and all of a sudden in my 40s things started spiraling out of control like you mentioned. However things have turned around for me and I've met a beautiful woman and we're going to get married and start a family but for some reason I don't feel 100% like I used to. I'm hoping this part of my life will spark back my true happiness like the way it was maybe a happiness that I've never felt but for right now I'm very anxious. One thing I was never able to figure out is where it all started from and that I mean by my anxiety and depression. Do you have any idea maybe we can bounce off one another to try to figure out what it is?
