My Dog
My dog had to be out down today. I'm devastated- I thought I had more time. He was 3 years old husky and diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. He was never in any pain, but over the past 3 months, since he was diagnosed, he just slowly deteriorated. He was such a huge part of my life, I don't have children and he truly felt like my child. He was always by my side, went where I went. I am sitting here missing the sound of his little paws in the kitchen and his snuggly bedtime routine. My heart hurts.
I'm sorry you had to go through this nest. But he is in a better place now, and he isn't forgotten as long as he holds a place in your heart. You gave him the best life you possibly could, and you should be proud of yourself for being able to do so.

3 years old? I'm sorry, that's terrible. Huskys have such personality and I can see how you would get attached quickly. One of my cats just died a week ago, but it was relatively quick, so that's of some comfort.

I am so sad to hear that. It must be really hard for you right now and feel like a part of you is missing and the sense of comfort and love. It is very frustrating and devastating to have this happen to you but the only cure for you to recover is time. Overtime it will hurt a little less but he will always be in your heart. He is in a better place and doesn’t have to deal with the disease he has and now he is in peace. You are valid for every feeling you have and should express all the emotions you have :)
My dog died in 2027, and I still find myself bursting in tears on occasion from missing his sweet face. Process the pain and mourn when you need to. It hurts to lose a family member, no matter how furry they are ❤️

This is good to see you have also a small dog that is making your facility happier. But for the dog, you need to do some things like cleaning the dog or providing the dog with healthy food. So most of the people suggested I get the Cat grooming glove that is helpful for cleaning dogs or cats and also helpful for removing the hair of animals that can spread diseases around.
My sincere condolences on losing apart of your family.
I also lost my husky a year ago at Christmas time he was only 6 years old, suspected poisoning.
The most beautiful of creatures I have ever come across & everytime I see a Siberian husky or malamute tears still well up in my eyes & I get slightly clucky, especially if they're of similar colouring to my baby boy.
Such magnificent, intelligent & obedient creatures, over a year later & that longing doesn't go away maybe eases over time.
People say get another one but I can't move on!
You're so spot on when you said it feels like losing a child... I do have children & losing my dog still felt like I lost a child, it depends on the connection you have with that animal.
Animals see parts of our souls that no human can ever see & it's magical, hard to replace.
I feel for you & losing such a gorgeous young pup.

Your loss brought tears to my eyes , I'm so sorry. Our pets are like our children. They are the golden light of our lives. They all have unique personalities but the one thing they have in common is the absolute unconditional love they have for their people. In my experience my dog loves me more than he loves himself and I've never seen that quality in any other relationship. You have my deepest sympathy.
