New here & need help plz!
I am new here so forgive me if I do something wrong. I have severe anxiety, OCD, and mood disorder. I am also taking suboxone because I was addicted to opiates and meth for years. I am 566 days clean. My anxiety and OCD is killing me lately. I take gabapentin and it helps but it’s getting to where 4 of the 800mg aren’t working anymore. I’m sure it’s bc of my tolerance. Is there any other medication I can take that is not habit forming? Something similar to Xanax so to speak? My therapist and I have tried a lot of meds. Gabapentin seems to do the trick and I really like it but my anxiety is kicking my butt. Any advice is greatly appreciated! 🤗
I get the struggle pal. Well first, don't take anything without your doctor's consent. But if you want to find pills similar to xanax, you can go through other types of benzodiazepines. Search for chemicals like diazepam (valium), bromazepam (lexomil) which is similar to valium, lorazepam or even clonazepam. But don't forget to ask your doctor about it before hand for the dosage and what the side effects might be. Be careful with benzos, they can be very addictive especially without a professional !!
I am very new here so not sure how this all works but wanted to respond because I am in the same situation. My doctor had me try busprione for anxiety attacks. Now I do not know much about meds like the previous responder but wanted to share what my doctor had me try.
