Hi..I'm.a 35 year old single mother..I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 16, I've struggled with hair growth ever since, and I'm at a point in my life where I'm tired of shaving..I'm tired of having to hide the hair because I'm afraid of judgment.. social norms ect...and I'm now questioning if this means I'm perhaps part of the lgbtq community..I've always been a little more masculin then feminin , but I just..I don't know where to start or what to do..or if their are any other women who have experienced the same and maybe have experience..that maybe someone could help guide me to understanding what I'm going though..I'm just not sure where to turn or what to do..help?

Hello there! It’s not good to hear that you were diagnosed with PCOS at 16 and it has affected your hair growth and has made it harder for you to keep up with it. It’s so valid that you want to stop shaving, that sounds really tough. I can imagine you want to stop hiding your hair after all these years and you really have every right to do so. All those reasons are trust especially with the society we live in ): being tired of shaving and keeping up with your fast growing hair can surely make you question whether or not you’re more masculine or feminine and whether you fit into that community. I would suggest researching a bit about it! Remember you’re the only one who can decide where you belong or even if you belong there! This all sounds like some really heavy stuff. Thank you so much for sharing, it has been a while since you’ve posted this, may I ask, how are you doing now? Has your situation improved at all? Have you figured out your next steps? Feel free to connect with a listener 1-1 if you’d like some 1-1 support! We’re all here for you. Keep taking small steps! *offers hugs if comfortable*
