Wedding invite faux pas or naw?
Okay so my brother in law is getting married in July. We got the invite it was addressed to my husband and family. (Example: Mr. Smith and family). Due to a not great relations we have had with the family in large part because of my husband cheating on me. His brother trying to date the same chick. We haven't talked to his brother in 11 years. We had been trying to fix family relationships. Supposedly according to mil bil wanted to make things right with us. I don't know if it was an accident or done intentionally. We did talk to mil to see if she knows anything she says it is weird but probably an accident. Should my husband or I asked bil about it? Should we let it go. I will also that I'm the one who noticed it and I am upset about it. My husband really hasn't paid it much mind until I brought it to his attention. I think he should be the one to talk to his family or at least us together.

Hi EmselBug here, family relationships can cause all manner of issues.
Firstly, I think us females are generally more observant and perceptive than males. Which makes it hard when something affects one half of the relationship and/or is only noticed by one half.
I can empathise, my in laws hate me because I was diagnosed with a highly stigmatised mental health disorder. When it was my father in laws 70th birthday we received a party invitation. I say "we", I actually mean my husband and our children received the invitation and my name was left off. Its a long complex story but I got my husband to contact his parents regarding it. In the end the 3 of them went and I stayed home alone.
Do you want to go to the wedding? I think your husband should say something but not to go in feet first. Something like "thanks for the invite, just wanted to double check numbers as it says "and family."" (I don't know if you have kids?)
Always tricky dealing with inlaws.
Whatever you decide good luck x
