friend
i have a online friend, we spend 24/7 together when not on pc chatting / gaming i call them and talk. it was nice having that person, "we did get online intimate at times".
they have started dating someone and now im pushed to the side, we still talk every so often not nearly as much as before and it feels different, i can tell they want to leave to be with them and not be around me. im finding it hard to cope with the emotions im having of losing that really close friend, feeling so alone and also the attachment i have with them doing the intimacy.
i have talked to them about it and they said they want to balance having time with me and them but they love being round us both.
Hello, I'm sorry to hear this. I fully understand how you feel.
I understand you were used to your friend to be always there with you, but talking every day is not necessary to make a friendship keep going. You still can be friends even if they seem to be busy right now, don't be afraid of losing them - you asked for reassurance and they told you how they feel towards you, they told you they won't leave trying their best to balance things. Trust them.
I think it's best for you to focus on yourself and your life when they are not around because unavailable.
I understand it can be hard, remember you can connect with a listener at any time.
@bestCucumber7840 Hey there. So glad you shared your worry with us all.
I understand that some friendships/ relationships are very dear and special to us that we don't want to be away from them, and we feel very protective of them, not wanting to share your friend shows that you cherish this friendship... which is a wonderful thing.
However, if you spend too much time with only this one particular friend, you could miss on many new things. There are so many more people to meet and so many different things to experience. Spending less time won't make your friendship weak, infact when you spend SOME time apart, it can make the friendship stronger and will help you gain new experiences which you will be able to share with the friend.
Trust your friend. Trust your self and expand your circle. It will be very helpful to you.
