gossips and advices needed
So, it all started 3 years ago when I fell in love with a guy (let’s call him A). I told one of my best friends (B) what I was feeling and she told me that she would start talking to him so that she could “help me”. Obviously she didn’t help not even a little bit because she fell for him and he fell for her and they dated for a month and a half, even though they knew how I felt. I realised that I didn’t have any feelings for A anymore when I started to have a crush on a boy, C. B knew that too and she told me that he was flirting with me but I noticed that too late because he found another girl. Anyways besides that thing with A, B and I had another problem last year. Two of my best friends, let’s call them D (boy) and E (girl), were dating when D cheated on E twice with B. First, everyone was surprised, but I tried to warn D to stay away from B because he would fall for her easily and if he knew that would happen he should broke up with E first. He told me that he wasn’t going to have an affair with B again but, of course, it happened. What I didn’t know was that D was telling B that I told him to be careful because when they started to be intimate friends, D would just act like an idiot and be such a terrible person to everyone just to please B. When everyone found out about the cheating, I started to hang out with E more than with B, because E was going through such a difficult situation and B saw that as me taking a side in a problem that wasn’t even mine, but somehow they dragged me into it! Meanwhile B and I went to different high schools and we stopped talking to each other. I understand that because of that we could be less close and she could be closer to other friends, I find that perfectly normal, but I don’t understand why she would use that as a reason to blame me for our friendship started to fall apart! She said “you are very malleable” and “you screwed things up but I pretended that it was nothing so that we stayed besties for the summer” ; but I was not the one who made out with a taken boy and I was not the one who bagged on some girls who suddenly became her best friends! On february I started talking to C again (the guy I had a crush on 2 years ago) and a couple months ago I started to have a crush on him again. I told F who is the guy next to me during class and C’s best friend and he kinda told everyone in school about my feelings for him. That didn’t affect me because idgaf about other people’s opinions on my personal life, but my chemistry teacher who somehow find out about that made a comment during the test about me and C. A girl named G heard that comment because she was in that class and she is a very close friend of B and I’m almost sure that she told B that I have a crush on C. The thing that know upsets me is that F recently told me that he found out that C and B talk to each other. I know they can be just friends, but isn’t it a big coincidence that the first time B talks to C is when she finds out that I like him? Can she be doing what she did with A (trying to “steal my boy”)? I’m really confused and I don’t know what I’m feeling, I just needed to get this out and ask for advices.
that sucks im sorry to hear that
High school and college is a deep learning curve to human relationships - friendship and romantic. The best advice I can give to you is to have friends but not reveal everything to them. Learn to hold back and learn that people need to earn your trust. 7 cups is a good place to come and vent and discuss your concerns or emotions to get a wide variety of feedback from people. Keep this to yourself but know that B is not a loyal friend to you. You can be friends but don’t share your feelings with them. A and C - forget them. They’ve already shown they’re attracted to B, they’re playing games, they’re not your type. F - they’re telling everyone everything. You’re better than all this drama - it’s normal for school, just something you have to get through. Be nice, don’t get involved. Sounds like B can have the potential to become a “mean girl” - be smart, be friendly but watch your back. Focus on schoolwork and being active/doing sports or exercise at home.
