Hi, my name is Ernest. I turned 38 in novembert and I'm here because I need help. I find myself always putting other before myself and it has turned my world into a pathetic situation. Whenever I say "No" I feel like the bad guy. Always wanting to please others has gotten me pissed off and I'm tired. I want to live for me. I don't know if this was the proper place for this but, if not I apologize

Hello Ernest. I completely get you! When I decide about something, I almost always decide according to what someone else wants. I am learning how to do things I want in my life instead of always pleasing others. I still did not get completely over this ´bad habit´ but I am on the right path, I suppose. Currently, I try to always evaluate whether this is what I want and if not; I try to do what I wish to not considering others and I am just practicing acceptance of bad feelings that come with it. I think it just needs time and maybe also reminding oneself that most people would not do the same for me so then I should also put myself first. Because people that love me want me to be happy and they would understand.

What are the things that you tried?

Isolation!... It's not healthy, but I feel good. I don't have to deal with opinions of others. I shut myself off to the world. Being recently introduced to this may be comforting.
