Hey there. Moving to a new location can definitely be difficult sometimes. I am sure there are people here who have been in your shoes. I have definitely been in those shoes when I was younger and moved to a new area. It can be daunting to approach people, especially when it looks like people are established. But there is no harm from going up to people and saying hello. The worst that can happen is they're uninterested and you never see them again.
