Parenting an Adult Child
I would love to chat with people who are trying to deal with "adult " children. I have a 25 year old daughter with a Masters degre who refuses to get her life together. Not sure where to draw the line in terms of MY obligations to her,
@friendlyWriter832 I would enjoy chatting with you. I have a daughter who did a nice job of getting their life together. I thought they would be a dependent as they refused to work in college and took out big loans but an unpaid internship turned things around for them and the well was primed.
I was a person that struggled till my mid 30's to find a course because of challenges I faced and had to master before I could get on with things.
What I learned from that is no one could tell me what to do. I wish at that time I had people around me that could have sat down with me and validated my feelings and tried to find out what I wanted to do in my heart. Eventually I did things that had nothing to do with my degree that helped me find solace in myself at the same time I started working on a career.
To me the first step was getting rid of all the expectations. When those were gone I could start.

Hello there!
First of all I would tell you that you are a caring parent and for that ... thumbs-up! 
It sure is not easy to balance the role when children grow up, probably the best to do is to let her feel you are there to support her, a caring hear to listen if she feels to share and a supportive guidance if your suggestions can help her with her own decisions.
