Spiritual Content ~ I'm a believer but still wanting a person to talk with
Lots going on in my life today. A bit about relationships, a bit about moving on from a relationship, a bit about parting with my home, a bit about getting an apt after having my own place, a bit about trying to figure out finances...lots of things going on and a new landlady waiting for my answer soon as to whether I want to go to that place I looked at today.
I'm 59 Female.
Fit and usually happy.
Here's my situation...
I own my own home.
I brought a man into my life who I thought would be perfect for me. He is 90% perfect but says he doesn't know how to love honor and cherish me. I am extremely well cared for by him. Pays all my Bill's. Will do anything for me, but doesn't know how to love me. I long for a deep meaningful relationship. He says he has never felt comfortable living here and always wants to leave. We took Christian counseling and read the bible daily and attend church. My every waking hour is spent wishing to be set free to find true love. Whether I let go and let God and he brings me someone new or rekindles what we had only better. I am open.
He is moving out to his own place Feb 1st. It is difficult while he is still here. I know it's only 2 weeks. I found an apt for Feb 1st as well and haven't said yes to it yet. I have thought of selling my home, it's in need of a lot of upgrades and maybe it's time for me to minimalize and put the house money into investments, but I am torn as what to do. I wish I had someone to talk it through with.
I feel for you and I hope that you find your happiness again soon. One thing that struck me reading your post is that you seem really attuned to you surroundings and may not even know it yet, but you're well on your path to find your deeper meaning in life. I don't ever think that intimate relationships should be something that we "settle" for. Sure, we can grow to tolerate our situation or even adapt to a level of normality that would never have suited our younger selves, but is that really living? We only get one shot at our time here. If you have the capacity and the means to make the most of yours, then you owe it to yourself to find your true happiness.
Best of luck on your journey.
@purpleLime7779 I am sorry for the loss of the relationship. Hope you find a trusted financial advisor that can tell you a safe course to take.
@purplelime
I hope things get better for you soon.
