whats in your plate?

November 4th, 2021

Some of the things that we use to eat did not bother us. What I have found out is that the body no longer can tolerate some of the foods we still try to digest. Why? as we get older we lose a lot of the enzymes that help break down the food and can result in stomach issues and just not feeling well.

There are also certain foods that we should not eat if we suffer from Anxiety or Depression. I am going to give you a list of healthy foods that may help with depression and anxiety.

Turkey

The Thanksgiving turkey has the protein building-block tryptophan, which your body uses to make serotonin. That's a brain chemical that plays a key role in depression, researchers say. In fact, some antidepressant drugs work by targeting the way your brain uses serotonin. You can get the same mood-boosting effect from chicken and soybeans.

Salmon, Milk, brazil nuts,

carrots, Clams, and Mussels or Sea Food is also a good source of vitamin B12 also lean meat, and eggs.

These are just a few things that we can do to be healthier. Grilled and Baked is best.

Which food would you like to try?

@scarletPear1945 I think from the list I would like to try soybeans and carrots. I didn't realize that carrots had B12 that's good to know.

Pear, I hope you are doing well with what you can eat. Thank you for you nice post.

I usually eat eggs, but like salmon when I can afford to have it. I understand about the enzymes. I no longer have any stomach enzymes and it does make it quite difficult in a lot of ways. I have learned a lot of foods that are best for me to never eat anymore, and some that I still can eat. I am thankful for the food that I can eat.

Hey, how are you? Hope your Thanksgiving was great😄.

I am glad that there are some foods that help you to feel better. I hope that you can find more foods that you like and that agree with you. I am eating more Simon because the doctor told me to eat fish 3 times a week.

Thank you for leaving your reply❤️
