That is great that you are working on that. I know in the 35+ group we have been having some discussions on that lately that might help some.

It was a lonely Easter day I went out and rode a Lime electric scooter for the first time. I was over billed which pissed me off. Oh well this too shall pass...tomorrow is another day. I get to see my pain management Neurologist and ask her to appeal the denial for authorization my crappy medical insurance gave when she requested authorization to give me the spinal injections I need to stop the pain I struggle with everyday.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad day on Easter and hoping today is better for you. I hope they figure things out for your pain and insurance since I agree insurance is hard to work with.
@bgdave Yes pain in a comle conditino. What provides relief differs from person to person. I hope your insurace comes through

I am ok. Easter was a quiet time. Does not help with the feeling of how alone you can be.One thing I found which helps is offering a hand to people who are alone and elderly. This feeling of being lonely will increase as our age profiles change over the next decade or so. Idea? Offer to take someones pet for a walk and spend time with the person and their pet. I have found this to be a great way to initiate contact and becoming friendly with your neighbours who are housebound and alone.

That is such a great idea. I know some animal shelters are also looking for folks to help with animals also.
I am a young 50+ ,but the Las year has aged me, loneliness is deafening, as I age I am definitely becoming wiser, sometimes it is good, other times I am not sure, the last 15 years I was in a toxic relationship, having a hard time getting past the grief, I have decided its easier to just accept it as a death.

It is hard when we are in relationships like that. You can now start doing things that you like and maybe meet some nice people.
Hello there, found this site a day ago. Parent of two teens, one who came out recently as bi/gay and I am completely struggling. Any other parents out there who are in or have been in the same situation? Could definitely use some new friends to talk to about this and more.

Hi and welcome. They were actually talking about this in the 35+ room the other day and several folks in that room have kids that age also.
