mostly i practice ways to endure chronic stress and cope with acute stressors. there is not much i can do to get rid of stress... so it's like living in a battle zone.

@GustyOne4U

I agree sometimes it is living like in a battle zone and we need to take minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day to practice all of are good coping skills to endure things in our life that do make stressors for us.

I am at the beginning of a big life stress: loss of income. I have two months of bill payment in savings. My brain is fixated on worst case scenarios, which are all in the realm of possibilities. My release from the stress is to play Chess with the possibilities of bad happenings, plan several Chess moves ahead with the worst case scenario in mind. The new problem I have never delt with is my body. I dont know how to factor in the new tightness in my chest from stress. Jobs, paying bills, financial planning is all just a big game to play. The problem is keeping the game in perspective: is it real? My body is saying: real, real, real!!! My mind is: It is just a game... but in the end it has to be treated as real because of my bodies new reaction to stress. I will play Chess with my situation, take some kind of action in the positive. I could hide?

our entire world happens inside our brains... I can turn off my outside view, but it makes everyone upset... they say where did you go? You had Vacated look in your eyes... I never thought to tell him them I went indoors.... that would have been clever. I spontaneously laugh, or spontaneously say Im sorry, just out of the blue.... apologizing for a long lost wrong done or a stupid statement made. I went time traveling, it felt like I just got back and I did just get back from indoors, in my head, and the instant from a time long gone felt so very real...

What are you doing to reduce your stress? I have reduced my stress levels considerably since last year. I am getting lots of exercise, I have been going out and spending time in nature, everything in my house in now working as well as it can, and I have been found by a woman and love abounds.

Thanks @DanaMH. I usually give everything my best efforts. Almost all the stress relief is due to the last item.

As an introvert currently out of a job, most of my stress is made up in my head. Most of it is self doubt or guilt about not contributing financially. I dont see people frequently enough to have other stress. Although that could be another stress as well.
