As I read the title, Haddaway came to mind.

“What are YOUR Love Languages?”

Oh my goodness. I have study this so many times over the years. It is most logical but yet so confusing. Maybe someone who has Significant Other (like me) and it will help them to communicate.

“How do you like to be appreciated?”
So within the Love Language, coming from my Spouse to me.
Words of Affirmation – A simple unexpected, non-prompted ‘I love You.” goes miles.
I don’t like or want speeches or cards or “Oh let me count the ways” It does the opposite for me.

Physical Touch – A simple light touch, on a rarity. Like when you walk by at dinner and brush of the hand on the shoulder.
I do not like any form of public affection. Even at home sometimes I don’t like it. I know I am weird LOL.

Receiving Gifts – Nope.

Quality Time – Enjoy. Nice cold glass of Pinot Grigio. On a lawn at Winery. Don’t have to have a lot of conversation. Can be light. Don’t mind a lot of talking about anything as long as it open and not one sided. But the uninterrupted portion is always welcomed with open arms.
Don’t like incessant talking and disruptive talking.

Acts of Service – I don’t mind doing about anything, as long as I am asked. Randomly I enjoy completing a choir\duty for my spouse. Maybe cook breakfast or clean something.
Expected actions (not referencing Duties)? The opposite will happen.

In many ways I am referenced as a contradiction. It is weird

I want good hugs and to feel like I'm heard

I always forget how important to understand your own and your significant other's Love Languages.

My LL ratio is something like that:
Quality time 70%
Physical touch 20%
Acts of Service 10%
Unfortunately, I am always confused if somebody compliments or gives me gifts. I always have the little devil thoughts "What do they want for exchange?" "What is the lie?" "Where is the trap?"
I know, I am broken. 😂
