For me getting older means a lot of changes. I need more sleep than when I was younger. I need to be more careful with exercising so I do not overdo it. My interests in life are changing. I am asking what I can do to make this world a somewhat better place.

What is getting older mean to you?

@soulsings

Hey! I feel the same as you about getting older. I have noticed that now I need to exercise to be in shape as it is no longer a guarantee and also there are other similar physical changes. I am currently having some kind of identity crisis and I feel confused. I thought I would not change but my personality changed a lot in the last year and it is the first time I experienced something like this. I always knew what I wanted, but now I find myself questioning everything. Therefore, for me, getting older is also gaining new experiences.

What is getting older mean to you? It means getting dementia, getting older, not driving.

I wish there was something more to look forward to but so far all I've come up with (and it's guaranteed) is that life WILL become increasingly more painful, both physically, mentally and emotionally. Isn't that GREAT? šŸ˜•

Getting older means to me having less responsibilities in the world which means more time for just being and enjoying garden and spending more time helping other people. The less time I spend dwelling on my own suffering the more content and joyous life is for me.

For me, I am working on trying to enjoy life as much as possible while I can. I have had some health scares, but I fight them. I hate that I feel far more vulnerable now. I had some issues that affected my driving and independence and I have to be both patient with myself and brave to get back out there and keep working to get back to "normalcy." I have seen people get mired in fear and start shutting themselves in with it. I don't want to that to be me.

@Peaceandlove65 I hear you. I think people need social contact for their brain health. 7cups often fills that role for me.
