Dealing with Life's Inevitable Disappointments in a Healthy Way
The truth is, no matter how great your life may be, you will eventually deal with disappointments, setbacks, failures, and even worse things. Everyone must face difficult situations, and everyone must come up with effective ways to deal with and bounce back from these situations. It can be very hard and sometimes even feel cruel, thoughts like Its not fair come up but then again you know Life is not always fair. Learning coping skills helps us but also changing things we can actually change to improve our life. There might be several things going on in life, stress at work, finanical pressures, coping with illness but also sometimes friends who are simply toxic to us. So today I like to ask you?
Who do you need to spend less time with?
If that does not apply to you, what do you think has to be changed in your life?

Who do you need to spend less time with? That's an easy one - the director of my department. He doesn't like me, and I spend a fair amount of time avoiding being near him.

Very sorry to hear, it must be very stressful for you working with him when required. Sometimes we simply cannot avoid people completely like at work, so best is finding some sort of arrangement or get out of the way. I hope that other people and things make it worth working there.

Offmytrack, I forgot to ask you (if you do not mind me asking) how did you know he does not like you?
@amiablePeace77 He almost never talks to me, just yells at me. He has weekly talks with all the other people, he told me he had nothing to say to me and not to bother with the weekly meetings.

He yells at you?!!! Sounds like is his very stressed out but that's not a reason to put it on you. You have the right to be respected! Very sorry that you have to put up with that, hope you do not take it too personally. 🧡
@amiablePeace77 I do take it personhally, I dislike him so much that I plan to retire, and I will not tell him until I absolutely have to.
I think I have to spend more time with people.
