Today's topic is about getting around when not being able to drive
Giving up the car is a serious blow to seniors. Its one more act of independence that they have to forfeit. They are no longer free to come and go as they please but have to depend on others.
Remember the freedom you experienced the first time you got the car keys in your teenaged hands? That's the independence some seniors fear of losing.
What would be something you could do to cope with when facing with that challenge?

Watching other people go through this I know my decision would be to live in a walkable/public transportation community. With climate change it makes sense too.

Living in an area where there is better infrastructure, where one might be able to reach a lot of places by foot as well, makes surely sense, getting into a healthy climate too. Where would you like to go if you had the option? What would be your dream?

City life can surely have advantages, everything close by. France is beautiful country, where would you prefer to go in France?
What is on my mind? Well I am wondering if this is the weekend check in thread or about loss of independence or if it matters or not. I didnt have anything good to say today anyway. I just sit in a chair and dont care. Might be getting a wee bit better, not certain though.
