Make yourself available 
Establishing social bonds needs practise and deepening them to build a friendship needs time. The main point, however, is starting to make an effort, simply to make yourself available. I know it's easier said than done and lots of people struggle with doing the first steps. Some ways to connect with others are going to community centres, doing volunteer work, joining walking groups or meet-ups. It might feel awkward in the first time, but this feeling is likely to pass as you get more comfortable with others.
So question today is:
Do you feel the desire to connect to others and what have you done to make yourself available?

Zengrl, sorry to hear that HUGS but you made a good point that you might be younger than your actual age and that's something to be proud of! Have you considered to mix simply with younger people or go to places where people of different ages come together?

Zengrl, school is a great way to connect to others, hope that you will also make some friends there.

Connecting with others is really important to me. But not superficial connections - I'f rather have fewer connections that are real and true.
I have a couple of friends that I make sure and reach out to reguarly.

Pen, I get what you mean, I am the same, quality over quantity. Better to have one good friend than 10 superficial ones.

I love people . Even when I am depressed to the core I prefer crowded places than isolated . When I came to new country, here I did not knew any one . I started to go to classes , made friends and also learned new stuff. And also started to give tuitions, not taking more than five students. Main purpose was to increase connection. Now I have friends of all ages

Yes I do, from time to time. I go for a short walk around the neighborhood and stop to talk with my neighbors (all good people).

Walk can be a wonderful way to connect also with strangers sometimes. Living in a harmonic neighborhood is priceless.

I have started volunteering and joined organizations for social causes I am passionate about.
