Ever done it? Nope.
How did you like it? I think I would probably love it.
Would you like to experience an excursion in a wood between chestnuts trees? Yes, I think it would be wonderful.
@Offmytrack
Hello Offmytrack!
Hope you are fine!
Glead to hear you would like to experience that, hope you will have chance to.
For the moment that's a virtual taste of it, cheers!!

1. Many times and in different countries too
2. Loved it and enjoyed it every time. All products, roasted, boiled, mashed...in autumn i use to carry them in my pockets for confirt and for...defence😂😂😂
3. I would love to but never get a new chance...
@feelitinyourbones
LOL feelitinyourbones!
Then I suppose that the defence is to hypnotize others with any yummy recipe you are able to make with chestnuts
I suppose it has been nice to experience something like that in a different country, new woods, new roads...magic!
By the way, that's for you!

@BeyondTheInvisible
Aww cmon, absolutely yummy 😀😀😀
I thank you soo much 🤗
@feelitinyourbones
You are welcome!
If you like cakes then we will find more occasions to share some!
Take care!
@BeyondTheInvisible
Certainly, I always liked cakes, all recipes and styles, a world of their own...chocolate, fruits, cream, martzipan, carrots, frosting, glazing, sirop, creams, flavours, sky is the limit for every and any occasion and taste, a cake is cobforting and brings a smile every time 😊😀
@feelitinyourbones
Yes, Absolutely true!
Also the process of doing it results in being a nice moment, right?
Happy Wednesday over there!
@BeyondTheInvisible the only chestnuts I saw were called horse chestnuts which are toxic. https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/whats_the_difference_between_horse_chestnuts_and_sweet_chestnuts
Roasted chestnuts were a little like potato the one time I had them.
@soulsings
Hello Soul!
then you still have to experience going picking them in a wood!
It's...mindfulness
It can really be a relaxing experience with nature, just it is needed to be careful to chestnut hedgehog that has thorns!
@BeyondTheInvisible yes but be careful you have sweet chestnuts (edible) and not horse chestnuts (toxic) https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/whats_the_difference_between_horse_chestnuts_and_sweet_chestnuts
@soulsings
Thank you for warning us, there is an opportunity to learn new things every time. In nature it is extremely useful to have your botanical knowledge straight and broad or else...😉😊
@BeyondTheInvisible
I can certainly vouch for that 100%! 😊
@BeyondTheInvisible
I have never had chestnuts before but they sound interesting.
We don't have much of any 'woodsy' areas here wher I live.
@Jay1963
Don't worry about it, maybe you will get a chance to visit wooden areas😊🤗. There are sites for travel carpooling ortravel companions and you might find opportunities for low cost/no cost travelling and even if modest, you travel with people and explore new places. Wooden areas are magical and full of things and calming and and...😊 just try to go if you want, you will find a way USA has all varieties of geography it is a pitty not to explore and enjoy your beautiful country.
@Jay1963
Hello Jay!
Yes, I understand. Maybe over there it is less common and of course it depends on areas where one lives.
Yes, it's a pretty nice thing to see chestnuts growing on trees till the moment they can be picked up : when ready they naturally fall on the ground and they appear like my current profile's picture.
I wanted to share something that is proper of fall moment, it may help us remember that every season has its beauty
Take care!
