My fiance has lung cancer that has spread to his lungs and adrenals. Ugh. I'm so stressed. He's going through radiation right now. He has chemo on the 2nd.

@BookishWendy hello there love,What you’re going through is deeply painful and destabilizing. When someone you love is facing cancer, it can bring waves of fear, grief, anger, and helplessness — sometimes all at once, sometimes in ways that are quiet and hard to explain. There can be moments where everything feels unreal, and other moments where it feels overwhelmingly real.

You might be carrying thoughts and emotions that feel too heavy to say out loud. Sometimes people in your position feel like they have to hold themselves together for their partner, even while something inside them feels like it’s breaking. That can be an incredibly lonely place to stand.

There’s no “correct” way to feel in this. Whatever is coming up for you belongs. Fear belongs. Exhaustion belongs. Even numbness belongs.

If you want to share, you can tell me anything — what today has felt like, what you’re holding inside, or even just one word that describes how you feel.
