Hello! I’m new and codependent

Hi there. I’m Jen, I’ve been married over 20 years. I’m codependent, but haven’t really focused on taking care of that. Last couple years I’ve been focused on my husband and his health. He lies to me a lot and it’s really draining me. I’ve never know what is true or not. All of my friends and family are tired of hearing about it. I’m working on making changes in my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to be independent soon and begin my recovery and focus on me. I’m just wondering if anyone can relate.

‘thanks for reading

I think many people have been in that situation and can relate...

what is stopping you from change? mine was procrastination and overthinking about how hard it may be. People do grow tired of a person telling them about a this type thing ... It feels as if you are alone in it sometimes ... they all jump in and want to tell you to do things that maybe you are not comfortable with.

the reality in my case is no matter how many times i gave my partner the benefit of doubt it did not help....... you can not really change of help someones else's health IF they do not do what is needed all of these things do drain a person and it is OK to let go.

The lies are another item you can decide to worry about or just decide all are lies and work around it. many things can be investigated and if it bothers you look into it .... it will not just come clean on its own. that seems like a big mountain to climb to make changes ... you are not alone the trail over this is filled with people on the same path taking ONE step at a time.

I do relate to the fact that family and friends are tired of listening to me complain.
