@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19
Does it have to be ? I'm actively trying to overcome similar feelings.
@RunningMachine
No it doesn't!
Impossible spells I'm possible.
Even if it feels like an impossibly small chance of life getting better, I think thats worth searching for.
@RunningMachine no, it absolutely doesn't have to be downhill from here. Things can improve it's important to believe they will.
I'm really sorry you're having a rough time right now. Please remember this difficult time will not last forever. There is happiness for you out there and you deserve it.
@StacyMichelle
It's a work in progress 😁😁
can't speak for others. i'm just exhausted from having to continually defend my reality is all
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19 I'm interested in this reply. Can you tell me a little bit about what you're referring to, if you are comfortable doing so?
@StacyMichelle The stark reality is that all of us will, God willing, reach an age where it's clearly the halfway point, that from which the body and mind start to slow due to normal aging. Aches and pains will multiply, not improve and holding steady will be all one can hope for. Ya reach a point where ya realize it's all downhill, physically speaking.
Now layer that with this: one would think that when ya got old enough to have an AARP card, that hiding exposure to HSV1 from a partner wouldn't be a thing.
But hey, what's 'theft of consent' between friends when there's an *** to be had, right?
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19
I'm struggling partly as I've lived my life with inflammatory arthritis that is possibly the root cause of a couple of pulmonary embolisms that I fortunate to of been fit enough to survive. The thrombosis has left me with a 70% occluded deep vein in my hip area that I'm being encouraged to have an operation to relieve, the odds are only 50/50 on it helping but there is a 90% chance that I could be left on constant pain from bone fragments or even needing amputation if the nerves are disturbed too much. I'm 60 in January, whilst I'm able to remain physically active to manage the thrombosis risk them I have no intention of having the op but I fear for my future you rightly state age isn't going to make my life easier. I'm trying to improve my social connections and just make the most of it while I can. I hope this might help you, I''ve spent too long managing the best I can including almost isolating myself I literally got to the point I didn't see the point of carrying on that way, I'm choosing to live.
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19
I'm sorry you are feeling exhausted and all tired out. I once found this quote helpful, when I couldn't see a reason to keep trying.
"The impossible happens by living " the midnight library.
Impossible spells I'm possible.
Even if it feels like an impossibly small chance of going uphill, I think thats worth searching for.
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19 I'm really sorry you're having a rough time right now.
I want you to know that you are not and never have been a waste of space nor oxygen.
I'm glad you're here and I want to support you however I can.
@StacyMichelle when someone has decided that access to your mouth for blow jobs is more important than telling you that you're potentially being exposed to an incurable virus, it's really hard not to think you're a waste of space and oxygen.
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19
That's a tough read but isn't that more a reflection on the other person.
@RunningMachine Logically, yes, it reflects his character. But having your health recklessly endangered & a permanent medical question mark on your health record is a real thing, not an abstract concept. This wasn't a stranger; it was someone who claimed I was a "very good friend." And the only logical conclusion to be made is that he withheld infection risks just to keep sexual access open, some friend, eh? Sounds more like I was treated like an object.
And he sits on warm beach in paradise, probably with her and if not, he's likely trying to get into some new woman's pants and he won't tell her where his naughty bits have been either.
Hi! 🧡
It's Apple Pie this side. I am really sorry to hear about this.
I am at a loss of words, really.
Please be strong. Some people are really like that...
It's gone right? I wish you good health and happiness in the days to come. It's difficult to forgive when things are at such a low.
However please do not be bitter for the rest of your life. You are NOT a waste of space and oxygen. The more you would be thinking in such a way, you would be validating whatever has happened to you. I do not want that to happen with you. 🌻
Choose yourself,in a better way! ♥️
Regards,
ApplePie8587.
That’s not true!
@WasteOfSpaceandOxygen19 I may be an internet stranger, but I hope everything gets better for you, and you keep on fighting. Everyday your alive is another day towards progress. Someone wise once told me that admitting that you aren't okay is the first huge step to improvement, and shows how awesome and brave you are. I'm going through a similar feeling right now, so I want you to know that you aren't alone ❤️💖
Hello there! 🧡
I will ask you why, as I can see that you are not willing to write or talk about it in detail. It's okay. I am not here to judge you. I accept that you are sad about something... Maybe you are feeling hollow, or you are going through some insecurity or it's just some void that is eating up your mind.
However, I want to say that if you are thinking about life in such a way, you may consider that it is a curve. Every phase of our life has a purpose attached to it. So there is no uphill or downhill about anything in life.
Ofcourse, if one is new to this line of thinking, it may be a bit difficult for them to accept and work on such an ideology.
But I really trust your capabilities and I wish that you would be strong to embrace all your thoughts and walk ahead as best as you can.
Warm Regards,
ApplePie8587.🪷
@ApplePie8587 To answer your question about why: my perspective isn’t coming from an ungrounded "void," but from navigating very specific, ugly adult realities. I recently dealt with an exhausting fallout from an FWB arrangement that was supposed to operate under ethical non-monogamy (ENM). Rather than actual ethics or mutual transparency, it involved chronic deceit and hidden behavior. The other woman involved knowingly carries herpes, and instead of taking basic accountability for health transparency, she actively enables his dishonesty—dismissing reality and allowing him to remain an active vector of infection to others without disclosure. Having people gloss over profound ethical breaches and health endangerment with pseudo-philosophical platitudes is frustrating when real people are being put at physical risk. Again, one would think that when ya got old enough to have an AARP card & involved in an FWB/ENM situation, that hiding exposure to HSV1 from a partner wouldn't be a thing. But here we are. ☹️
At my age, the downhill slope of aging is an empirical fact, not an ideology one fails to comprehend. The idea that everything can be resolved with positive mindset work is a luxury of youth, where the end of the road is still an abstract concept rather than a visible horizon. Real life involves coping with physical entropy and people’s conscious choices to cause damage and sadly, not every sober, angry observation is fixed with toxic positivity. This isn't giving up, it's just stating the obvious truth.
