No one cares, wants to help me and I just don't know what to do anymore. Mindfulness and distraction does not work. Coping skills do not work. I don't know what to do anymore since when I ask anybody, they don't know what to say or how to help either.

Hello, new member here. I like the idea of a 50+ group, right up my alley.
Don't know about others, but there's an amazing amount of things I love about being 50+ and, well, some not so great things. Just like life, tho', you get out of it what you put in and now I'm able to start doing things that I didn't have time before. Yes, I miss the good 'ol days when my kids were young and we spend 110% everyday just raising and taking care of them. Now they're all grown-up and mostly moved out. Yup, I do miss them. But now ... I get to try new things and not have to worry about driving and appointments and schools, etc. Life is good!

@AffyAvo thank you for the welcome. I am grateful to find others who have or are facing the later years of life I am now experiencing I am hopeful 2019 will be better than 2018. I have had a rough go learning to live with my new normal with life
