Hi. I am 55 yrs old & haven't worked in the last 10 yrs so I am used to staying home. I read a lot & play games to help keep my mind active. I am an introvert.
@redGrapes1822
Welcome to you as well!
@BeyondTheInvisible
Thank you. I really appreciate a response during this time when it is all to easy to feel like the world has so much more chaos going on.
Hello, I'm new to this community and the site. I live with a teenager (who is not doing well with the need to stay home right now) and a puppy. Heard of this site through friend who said it was a great place to reach out and connect with others while staying home. I am looking forward to being a part of this community.

Hello. Shy and nervous introvert facing homelessness. This is a horrible time to live on the streets. (I am not yet there as I'm staying with a friend temporarily). I can't stay forever and it sounds lie the pandemic will be here a while. I am waiting on disability appeal council. Everything is closed so that pushes my case back that much farther. I'm scared and find myself crying a lot. I'm not a cryer either. I am just hoping that I found a place to share and listen. Maybe I won't feel so alone.
@Mac727
Hi there, sorry to hear that the situation is even more difficult for you with the current covid issue we all are dealing with.
I hope that rooms and listeners on 7 cups can help you feel less lonely with your struggles.
Best wishes with everything
@Mac727
This makes me so sad. I had to apply for disability back in 2007, so I know the struggle. They make it so you literally have to be living in the street. So unfair and inhumane. I was lucky, as I had someone at the time that took care of me. So many don't. You're not alone, and I'm glad you currently have a roof over your head! Try reaching out to your local State Representative for help!
Hi, I'm new here and the stay at home order is beginning to wear on my nerves. In addition to that, I have a 35 yr old son with mental health issues. He's my youngest. He's living more or less on his own, sharing a house with the mother of his 3 year old son, but has difficulty making his own decisions, he has no health insurance because he doesn't make enough for Govt. Healthcare (ACA) and makes too much for Medicaid.
Now he's not working because he has to care for the children while their mother works 2 jobs. (her choice) They can't send them to a babysitter with this pandemic situation. And without insurance he can't see his psychiatrist this month. I'm scared, frustrated, angry, and everything in between.
Thanks for being here.

wish you things to go better soon also for your son and his family
@MotherofCats1955
Hello, it sounds like life is beyond difficult right now for you and my heart goes out to you. From experience I know that there is not much anybody can do to help during the current situation, but I know that just having somebody to listen or vent to lightens the load.
Hi All,
My name is Nigel and I've just arrived back in the UK after 15 years living in Germany homeless and broke so things are not so easy at the moment.
However it's great to see all the support here and I hope I can contribute in the future :)
