Call for Leaders: Take Ownership of the Welcome Committee!

The most critical stage of the 7 Cups journey is the beginning, and through the Welcome Committee, we have the opportunity to make a great first impression on our newcomers. The difference between a member receiving a personal welcome message and not is significant. Everyone wants to be greeted in a new, unfamiliar place. We are the friendly faces at the door.
With that in mind, we are looking for dedicated leaders to take ownership of this initiative and ensure it continues to have the oversight it deserves. We invite Verified Listeners who wish to help us grow to join the Welcome Committee as Project Agents. If accepted, you will take point on a specific focus area and help steer our operations.

Domains We Need Help Leading
• Leadership (High Priority): Take charge of communicating with the team 1:1 and ensuring smooth operations.
Tasks: 1:1 check-ins with each team member, providing support and coaching, dashboard supervision, and general team management.
• Onboarding (High Priority): Take ownership of reviewing incoming applications and successfully onboarding new team members to the project.
• Recruitment: Champion our growth by helping us reach our monthly onboarding goals.
Tasks: Make creative promotional posts, reach out 1:1 to prospective candidates to invite them to join TWC, and brainstorm fun new ways to bring awareness to the team.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • :white_check_mark: A Verified Listener (Must be an adult)
  • :white_check_mark: A current member of the Welcome Committee OR a pre-existing leader with site experience willing to learn
  • :white_check_mark: Experienced and comfortable using Google Docs and Spreadsheets
  • :white_check_mark: Must have read, understood, and agreed to the Leadership Guidelines
  • :white_check_mark: A clear behavior record within the last 6 months
  • :white_check_mark: Able to commit at least 1 hour weekly (depending on your coverage area) to routine tasks

@Heather225 Hello,thank you for putting in effort and sharing this! I applied to become a member of the Welcome Committee a while ago,and I think this post explains why I didn't receive any replies!— I'm a verified listener and a member of the VL Team from almost a month,a QLP graduate and LDP Trainee,comfortable with Google Docs and Spreadsheets,and I could dedicate hours every week to make 7Cups a better place for newcomers. I believe that the start can be a crucial part of our journey,and not only it can shape the first impressions,but it can determine whether we'll keep going or leave. However,i'm too young for these roles and I couldn't be as great of a leader as the team deserves. Is there anything else I could to do help out the TWC team as a teen?
