Heather has officially said goodbye to the community. We will all miss working with her! Thankfully she will not be to far away.

We will be distributing the below job description both internally to our community and externally to outside job boards. Please review. Information on how to apply is located at the bottom. We will be working hard to find the best candidate for the role through the rest of the month! Please let me know if you have any questions!

7 Cups is looking to hire a new Group Support Community Manager. Our group support chat rooms are an integral part of the 7 Cups community! They are crucial gathering places for support giving and community building. You can think of these like gathering places or cafes to share coffee and discuss things. We are looking for someone who is passionate about chat rooms and the value of support in a group setting.

Qualities:

-------> Strong understanding of active listening

-------> Understand the values of support in a group setting

-------> Data oriented - strong understanding of how to use data to identify problems and inform decisions, knowledge of excel/spreadsheets is a plus

-------> Passionate about ensuring that 7 Cups support rooms thrive and excel

-------> Excellent leadership skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

-------> Outstanding time management skills

-------> Conflict resolution skills

-------> Exceptional public communication skills and comfort with main social media channels

Role Specifics:

- 20 Hours per week

- Pay will be a monthly stipend

- Can work on your own schedule, but must be available for admin team calls

Role Description:
One of the biggest initiatives in this role will be to help create more cohesive sub-communities, deliberately working to integrate group support projects, mentor teams and initiatives within each specific sub-community for the purpose of shared community building. This role works with both adult and teen communities and with both listeners and members. This role has 4 major parts:

Ensure a strong and effective team of volunteer moderators!
This will involve managing and improving the training and onboarding processes for moderators. You will oversee and support this process, ensuring new mods are brought on every month and that they are adequately equipped for the moderator role. You will also need to develop an ongoing training program for existing moderators, giving them opportunity to continue learning and further developing skills and techniques for moderating beyond the initial training.

Recruit and manage leadership!
Manage the group support mentor track, ensuring that all of the support teams have active and engaged leaders, whilst helping group support integrate with the forum and feed teams for each sub-community! 7 Cups currently has over 25 subcommunities. The majority of these communities have dedicated group support rooms. These topic based rooms have group mod mentor teams aimed at hosting regular daily discussions and ensuring a safe environment in the rooms. At times, this will require you to collaborate across forum and feed building strong integrated subcommunity leadership teams that incorporate every element of the community.

Safety and Planning:
You will oversee group support safety initiatives. This includes managing the group support review forms, moderator behavior reports, emergency form and any customer support emails related to group support. In managing these systems, you must always be looking and thinking on how they can be improved.

Metrics & data - You must own your data!
Tracking the group support data weekly in terms of messages, discussion counts and participants. At the end of each month, you will be required to create a data report to gauge the health of group support, highlight pain points and brainstorming how to problem solve these pain points to plan for the next month.

How to apply:

Submit your resume, a short statement of interest (500 words or less) and provide 2 professional references. You can send these to Laura@7cups.com.

DEADLINE: If you are interested in applying, please submit your applications by tomorrow, Thursday, September 21 end of day!

Thank you!

@Laura

I'm sure that you will find the perfect match to fill the 7cups shoes as Heather done so well. She gave all us here a place and she offered so much. She will be missed. That person has to be sweet, qualified, understand how 7cups works online etc. I'm excited to see who this next person will besmiley
