Hello Community! Today I'm very lucky to announce an exciting new group of teen mentors! Teens lets give them a warm and fuzzy and full of love welcome, all please join in congratulating these leaders in their new role!

I'm Curtis

2- What do you help with or want to help with?

I love helping with everything, and anything to be honest. I just love helping.

3-Why did you want to become a teen mentor?

To further help people, and to also be around the cool side (p.s. it's the teen side)

4- Cake or Cookies?

This one's difficult.... can I have both? Like a cake made out of cookies?

1. Who are you?
Im IceDad, but many people on 7Cups call me Ray which is my real name. I respond equally to either, recognizing that some people feel awkward calling me dad (LOL!!). I am a dad in real life and have one child, a 10-year old daughter who has been a competitive figure skater since age 2. Thats where my screen name came from. When Im not being a dad I work as a marketing manager for a large, global manufacturing company and I travel all over the world on business. I like to think of myself as a nurturing farther figure type on 7Cups. Ive enjoyed being a teen listener and have spent quite a bit of time in the teen member rooms, always encouraging members to message me when they need any kind of support. I look forward to working closely with our amazing team of Teen Listeners and Teen Stars.

2. What do you help with or want to help with?
I want to be there to support our Teen Listeners when they need help, whether it is getting through a difficult chat or just helping them grow as listeners. I would also like to help improve the overall listener quality through mock chats and anonymous reviews, and by providing coaching when necessary.

3. Why did you want to become a teen mentor?
Since becoming an Adult Teen Listener, I have learned that the teen community is just awesome. I see a tremendous amount of support there, not only from Teen Listeners but also among members. Ive immensely enjoyed being a part of that and have had the opportunity to interact with a lot of members and listeners in the teen community. I have professional active listening training outside of 7Cups. A number of years ago my employer sent me to a week long active listening training course. It wasnt for support reasons like what we encounter on 7Cups, it was more for interacting with employees, colleagues, and customers – but the active listening methodology is exactly the same as what we teach here. That, combined with my experience of being a listener and specifically an Adult Teen Listener, have made me feel compelled to share my knowledge and experience on a higher level.

4. Cake or cookies?
Ice cream cake with cookies on top! Why choose when you can have both, and ice cream too?

Who am I?
Baubs, or Jack. I'm an introverted poet with a terrible sense of humor, but i'll also always be available to help.

What do I want to help with?
Quality and Chat room tracks, with the goal of improving the teen side and better equipping everyone to listen.

Why did I want to become a Teen Mentor?
I spent just under two years as a teen myself and I saw the site grow, and eventually became a Teen Star where I aimed to help out a lot. I saw a great community grow and when I turned 18, I decided I wanted to return and continue to improve, help and grow with the community.
