Teen Coordinator: Update
Hello, teen community! Happy June (and Pride Month)!
We know change can be difficult, especially here at 7 Cups as we are such a tight knit community. And we know teen land has seen a lot of change this year in leadership oversight, but we’ve made all the changes we have with our ultimate objective in mind: to support our beloved teen side to the best of our capabilities.
Mimi has been an exceptional teen representative. She has launched many great initiatives and has poured her heart into nurturing a culture of positivity and growth within the teen circle. We are so thankful for her many contributions. Mimi has made the decision to step down from the role of Teen Coordinator, however she will still be around, and her incredible work and warmth will always be held in fond regard.
Now, I am sure you’re asking what’s next for the Teen Community.
For the time being, we will be holding off on bringing aboard another Teen Coordinator. We would like to spend this time figuring out how the teen side should evolve to reach its full potential and become a strong well-rounded ecosystem. Seeing as how much of the teen needs are rooted in Group Support, @ASilentObserver (our GS Community Manager) will be taking over to provide oversight. He will also be handling teen safety reports.
Additionally, the entire Community Management team will be available to support you during this transition. We’re also excited to offer you more face time in the rooms! Please check out the May Community Update to see the Admin Team schedule.
And as always, if you have suggestions for how to improve the teen side, or if YOU would like to get involved in making our teen side even better, please do let us know!
