Sub-Communities Restructure 2022
Forum Restructuring Timeline and Updates!
Hello everyone!
The Sub-Communities are all currently under construction. We will be merging forums, renaming a few, and moving threads around. After all the changes are processed, updates will be posted in this thread.
We thought of a central place to announce minor changes we are making around for now, hence this thread. This will serve for us having a good foundation for the upcoming changes and updates around sub-communities and forums, which will be announced in the coming time. Please stay tuned.
I have just updated my Find a forum page to reflect the changes to date in 50 & Over and Hobby Zone. (I know I'll have to do it again as more changes are implemented.)

@theriverissinging I updated again to reflect these changes.
I note that of the five basic emotions in the Ekman Atlas, (anger, fear, disgust, sadness, enjoyment), only enjoyment seems to have an obvious place in our forum structure. I'm not sure what to make of this.
Charlie
@RarelyCharlie thanks for updating! that is a handy resource.
As for the emotions part - I guess there's the Managing Emotions sub-forum? Thank you for bringing that to our attention as well, but I am not very sure of what is to be done here. Do you think naming those 'basic' ones out would be helpful? I hope that is not limiting in a way - even when the other feelings could seemingly branch out from the basic ones or maybe we would have too many to name. Our verbal expression of emotions gets limited by our personal vocabulary or 'all the words out there' I guess. For example, an emotion I would consider basic that's missing from the five would be that of surprise. Definitely see making these more obvious promoting people to express though. Interested in listening to what you have got to say/add, if anything.
Edit - P.S. - Random thought adding to this, we also have threads like 1000 reasons to be happy., [TW] GET YOUR ANGER OUT: SCREAM AT THIS THREAD!!!, I feel most peaceful when...[finish this sentence], etc. - so could also make more threads and content as such + it is creative haha
@theriverissinging You make good points!
I suppose it's just a quirk of the system that some emotions have forums (a.k.a. sub-forums) and some have threads.
