National Human Trafficking Resource Center and BeFree Hotlines
"TheNational Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC)is a national, toll-free hotline, available to answer calls from anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year in more than 200 languages.The NHTRC is operated by Polaris, a non-profit, non-governmental organization working exclusively on the issue of human trafficking. We are not a government entity, law enforcement or an immigration authority."

Safe Horizon: Moving Victims of Violence From Crisis to Confidence
"Safe Horizon, one of the largest agencies helping victims of crime and abuse, is based in New York City. If you are a victim of crime and abuse and seek in-person support, Safe Horizon can help you. We can be found in more than 57 locations all over New York City and in each borough, and offer support ranging from 24-hour, toll-free hotlines to emergency shelters."

Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force: Leading the Fight to End Human Trafficking
"The Governor?s Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force was formed to marshal the resources of the State of Ohio to coordinate efforts to identify and rescue victims, create a coordinated law enforcement system to investigate and prosecute human trafficking crimes, and to provide the services and treatment necessary for victims to regain control of their lives. Eleven state agencies are members of the task force and have worked to identify service gaps and made recommendations for filling those gaps."

Wow, funny that I run into this post because I was literally having a conversation about this! Apparently this happens a lot in walmart parking lots. Who would have thought? That's pretty intense.
How frightening.
Unfortunately, it happens a lot of places. It mostly occurs during large events like the Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, etc. It is scary, frightening, horrific, I couldn't even find the words to describe it. We can fight it by gaining awareness about it. Let's try to fight it! Woo woo :)
The hospital I work for, along with the other hospitals within this company, are assessing human trafficking especially in the emergency room where I work. I'm especially proud that I work for a company who assesses this and keeps the community aware that this is happening kite than anyone knows...Thank you for this thread!

I am so pleased to know they are taking action against this horrifying thing, human trafficking. Hopefully other hospitals and companies will pick up the memo and start taking action as well :)

BlitheSun, thank you, as always for bringing a very important topic to light. I've read many articles show that trafficking happens a lot in clubs in my area, so this is a great resource for me personally.
