February Leader of the Month: AnyaS!
Congratulations to @AnyaS for being nominated and named as one of our February Leaders of the Month! Anya is our Teen Chatroom Star Leader, winner of the 2018 7 Cups PB Award, and an all around good teen llama. Learn more about Anya and her work on 7 Cups!
✨ What roles or projects are you involved in on 7 Cups?
I am a Chatroom Teen Star Leader, so I work on things related to the Teen Listeners Room, Chatroom Teen Stars, Chat Support, Listener Discussion Teams, etc! I am also a Quality Teen Star working on the Quality Coaching Program, and I am the Teen Self Harm Recovery Support Team Leader! I also help with 7 Cups outreach! <3
✨ What has been your biggest accomplishment on 7 Cups?
My biggest accomplishment on 7 Cups has been receiving the PB Award! I have always looked up to the listeners earned the award in the previous years and who were so committed and dedicated to the 7 Cups mission, so it truly is an honour to be one of the recipients of the award this year!
✨ How would you describe 7 Cups in one word?
Hope
✨ What is your favorite 7 Cups memory?
My favorite 7 Cups memory is the Conga Lines & Trains that we used to do in the rooms! They were so fun and they always brought everyone together! We need to bring those back!
✨ Who is your biggest inspiration?
There are so many people who inspire me, but every person who is facing any sort of mental health challenge, but still manages to take every day as it comes and to push through it no matter how hard it can be to even get up in the mornings, is a huge inspiration to me!
✨ What is your dream job?
Working somewhere in the Mental Health field!
✨ If you could have any pet in the world, what pet would you have?
A puppy!
✨ What is your favorite inspirational quote? (and why)
"Be Brave". It reminds me to face all my life challenges -specifically with my mental health- with a brave heart and to never forget how strong and resilient I am!
✨ If you could give one tip to a brand new listener or member what would it be?
Listener: Don't be afraid to ask for help in your journey as a listener! Being a listener can be hard at times, but there are so many wonderful people on 7 Cups who are here to help! Your hard work is so appreciated by all of our members and although it is not always easy, we are always here to support you!
Member: Never be afraid to reach out! It's hard to be vulnerable about what is going on in our minds, but 7 Cups is here to support you and we will never judge you for what you are going through! There are plenty of ressources all across 7 Cups that are so helpful! We are so glad to have you here with us in our community! You are never alone!

@AnyaS, you know how excited I am seeing your name alongside the others. I'm always so proud of everything you do on here, even if it's continuing to reach out. You've been a remarkable leader that teens look up to with all the skills and qualities you possessed as a leader, something that hasn't changed. You have such an understanding and approachable nature to the point anyone can feel open to reaching out for help too, something that's not always easy to find.
The quote that is inspirational to you, I know it always has been and even though it's only two words, it's two words that hold a lot of strength and resilience. Strength and resilience, something you definitely have and continue striving to do.
Even though I've said it before, I do hope you get a dog one day since you deserve one!

I've expected that you're gonna be one of the Featured Leaders of the Month @AnyaS and now the time has come! What else can I say? You never fail to amaze me. You're one of the inspiring leaders I know. With your motto "Be Brave.", I bet a lot of listeners have been able to get out of their comfort zone and explore things. Without you, the teen community will never be the same. I still cherish the times you've helped me back then. Your compassion and dedication has impacted me to become who I am today! c: Thank you for all you do!
