October 15th - LGBTQ+ Spirit Day
For those who do not know, it is LGBTQ+ Ally Week!
We have tons of fun events planned for this week to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and its supporters. This week strives to promote acceptance and understanding across the board. The 7Cups community invites you to take part in this week by joining discussions, checking out the forums, and posting to your feed. We hope that you join us as we celebrate this special week!
Today is LGBTQ+ Spirit Day!
Spirit Day began in 2010 as a way to show support for LGBT youth and take a stand against bullying. Following a string of high-profile suicide deaths of gay teens in 2010, GLAAD worked to involve millions of teachers, workplaces, celebrities, media outlets and students in going purple on social media or wearing purple, a color that symbolizes spirit on the rainbow flag. Although we themed this day in the color blue, it's actually PURPLE!
