@koreneen87 First of all welcome on 7cups! I see today is your first day here and I want to let you know that we are so happy to have you here with us <3<3

I feel you, social media can become an addiction too, I used to have the same problem and it made me feel really bad for spending my time just scrolling all day. Here there are some methods I used to spend less time on them:

1. I tried to put a timer through the settings on my phone, after I spent like 1 hour (a day) on the app, it would close and I wouldn't be able to open it again until the next day. 1 hour for me worked, but if you feel that it is not enough for you, you can start gradually with whatever amount of hours you feel comfortable with and then decrease through time.

2. I deleted two of the social media's I spent the most time on, I decided to take a 1-month break from them, now I downloaded it again just one of them, and to be honest I don't feel like checking it as many times as before, while the other one turned out to not be this interesting and for that reason I didn't download it again yet.

This was my personal experience and what worked for me might not work for you, since each one of us is different and experiences things in different ways, but regardless of the path you choose to take, you can always find a listener ready to listen to you and support you in your journey, not only related to social media but whatever you are going through in life. This is a safe place, where you can find someone who listens to you in 1-1 chats and a lot of support in Chatrooms from all the members and listeners in here <3 Again, thank you for joining us <3
