What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of how a good day looks like on 7cups, for you.

My idea about spending a balanced time on cups is simple. I dedicate my time to cups as a volunteer in such a way my offsite life doesn't get any harm and at the end of the day, I can enjoy my work on cups.

A good day for me is simple if at the end of the day I can say I enjoyed my time on cups today, it is a good day, if not then it is not a good day at all.

What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance?

The challenge that I faced is to control myself to not invest time more than I can afford on cups. Listening to someone, spending time in rooms and forums supporting listeners and members, doing back end planning and plotting is a lot rewarding and maintaining a proper boundary at such time is a challenging job.

How did you try to deal with those challenges?

I think saying no politely to things you can't afford is the best way. Here the "no" is not limited to others but applies to ourselves. To say no to a particular role you are reached for, to say no to a current role of yours you can't do anymore, etc is important for your welfare.

Further, I limited my time on cups for the night, in between I just log in at times to respond to messages, which helped me a lot.

What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups?

There are so many benefits, neither your offsite and on cups life get affected in a wrong manner, you will good about yourself, you feel satisfied, you can continue volunteering for a long period, etc, etc

What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways?

I don't have much to say here just, it's okay if you are attached. A lot of us (including me) went through this, but believe me, you got this and you will move on with the addiction 💙
