Im Addicted to the phone. Or maybe addicted to screens. Im depressed so I use this to cope and thus in also addicted to 7 cups and its honestly a distraction and I can't study. 7 cups is awesome but I hate being addicted to it as wierd and funny as it may sound. Anybody knows how to get away from this addiction?

@neonPrune3307 It sounds like that you are addicted to the phone and screens. Being addicted to anything becomes harmful eventually. Right now, you are having a difficult time studying. The only way to stop the addiction is to distance yourself from the distraction and to engage in the other activity and to keep focus on it. It is not easy to do, especially at first, but after doing it for awhile, it becomes easier to adjust.

Maybe power off your phone sometime, or try reading a real book. I find that the best way for me to stop is to go outside and do something to get me distracted and then to focus on what needs to get done. Somehow, if I do something that I really like (that isn’t on screens) for just a little bit, it helps me forget about screens and work on other things

@neonPrune3307 Addiction is really tough. What you are saying really resonate with me too. It seems that being on the phone or internet just seems like a nice break from the real world which seems really challenging to deal with. I want to say that it is a good step that you are recognising it and wanting to change. I hope that with time you are able to find strategies that helps you and ctn to fight the urges. I think mindfulness would be something that could help. I know it's really hard to start. Stay strong and believe that you can beat it!
