Your Personal Recovery Path/Program
There are many different paths one can take when it comes to getting treatment for and recovering from an addiction. Examples include harm reduction methods, abstinence-based programs such as SMART Recovery, individual and group therapy, spirituality based programs such as Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, and many others. Some people choose one program and stick with it, others pick and choose what works for them, and some create their own program from scratch. Recovery is unique, personalized to each individual. I'd like to ask the community a few questions about our recovery in order to provide an opportunity for us to learn from each other. Feel free to share as much as you feel comfortable with.
1. Which philosophy and methods have worked best for you?
2. What particular tools have you found helpful?
3. What advice based on your own path would you offer someone who is new to recovery?

So for once i fell powerless over this demon
