Addicted to exercise
I’m addicted to exercise. If I don’t exercise for at least five hours a day, I get anxious. My addiction stops me from going out because if I haven’t completed my exercise for the day, I don’t feel worthy of being able to go out.
I eat healthy and exercise a ton but it’s never enough for me.
any suggestions?
It sounds like your exercise habits have become a way of managing anxiety, but it’s also crossing into a place where it’s taking away from your overall well-being and enjoyment of life. When exercise turns into something that feels like an obligation or even a form of self-punishment, it can create an unhealthy relationship with your body and emotions. How do you feel about starting with some small steps to gradually shift your routine? Would you be open to exploring some other ways to cope with the anxiety without feeling like exercise is the only answer?
