Clean since July 9th
I have been clean from porn since July 9th. This is the longest that I have ever been since I was about 12 years old. So that’s about 20 years that I have been at it. I feel more confident and less shame. I hope to keep going. One day at a time. It does get hard sometimes but then I remind myself. Hey, just leave those thoughts alone, at least for today. Sometimes I have to tell myself that everyday for a week straight but it is working for me. Also, prayer and fasting has more than helped. It’s been a great guide. Asking God to take away the craving for my addictions. One by one they have slowly subsided and it’s easier for me to say no the more I trust in The Lord and give my best effort.

@Mansbestfriend any tips for the first few days>?
I couldn’t do it by myself. I still can’t, everyday I have to give it to God and he gives me the strength to make it through. I had to surrender. I don’t know what your path looks like but this is the one that works for me. Surrendering my will to that of Jesus Christ.

How did you get out of it ?
I made up my mind I didn’t want to do it anymore.
