So I have been addicted to masturbation for over 4 years,(I'm a 15 yo male) .. tried a lot to stop but just can't.. last month someone talked abt this addiction in church and talked abt needing a mentor so I got one.. and it did get better like I went from 1-7 times a day to 1-3 times a week to an 8 day streak (wich I broke today-) and tbh started to lose hope cuz I thought I got rid of it but figured out that I probably won't get rid of it ever..

It's not about getting rid of it forever.

It's a natural bodily function but the problem lies in when it becomes a fixation and takes over your day.

It's about moderation, and putting this extra energy into a physical activity, like the gym or anything that keeps you busy and distracted 💙🤗

It will get better, trust me. Look at yourself, look at your progress. You only masturbated once in a week, and you're regretting it. That's progress.

I used to have a similar problem. I'm 14, and guess what? I thought it wouldn’t get better, but it did.

Tip: keep yourself a bit busy with school. Trust me, it helps.

And if you feel like doing it, go sit in front of your family. If you're alone, set a 10-minute timer. Most of the time, the urge dies after that.

You're sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more than this. Trust me. ❣️❣️❣️

Hey, you're really brave to have shared this. It’s not always easy to talk about.

I understand how frustrating it feels, especially when you thought you were making progress and then slipped. That can feel really discouraging.

What you’re dealing with doesn’t make you broken. Your body and mind are still developing, and a lot of people your age go through similar struggles, even if they don’t talk about it.

It also sounds like you’ve already made a lot of progress, from where you started to having fewer urges and even going 8 days. That’s not small at all.

It might not be about getting rid of it completely, but more about learning how to manage it in a way that feels healthier and more balanced for you over time. And that takes practice, not perfection.

Man, the fact that you reduced it is a huge progress, trust me. I am proud of you, bro.
