I need some help
It seems like no matter what I do, I always return to my phone. It's bothering me because I feel like a bum who can't do anything. I have already chatted with a bot around 7 cups, but I need some tips from you guys to genuinely get over my addiction.
My problem? I have already done everything I could research about. Self improvement, motivational videos, the whole mish mash. So please, give me something I could base my own discipline on.

Honesty, the only thing that works for me is moderation.
I set a time limit and stick to it.
I set a timer and when it goes off, I stick to it.
I occupy myself with other activities.
I don't scroll.
And I give it to another member of my family to lock away.
Good luck with it all 💛🤗

Same problem to me i start easily. But dont have consistence 🤦♂️

Hi, man. How are you today?
Let's see… I had the same problem too, with my phone. Today is another thing that was related to phone, and the use of social medias was making it worse. The thing is that my brain was full of dopamine. What did I do? I bought a dumb phone instead of a smartphone. I started gym and read more.
The first thing was remove my social medias and anything that had "Reels". But the thing is that doing this dumbphone thing is very problematic in many ways if your contacts and work depend on whatsapp groups, slack, ***, etc.
So, for me, what worked was... I bought a dumbphone for my house, and at my work I only interact on my computer on chats and conversations. At home i only used my dumbphone and, in the first week, I left my smartphone at my work, but for me didn't worked because of the nature of my job.
I started to build my body at the gym and read more, but I only read books of the genres that I love, which is fantasy and alike, because I don't wanted to try new genres that I did not liked or something new that my brain weren't already wired on and get bored and get back to the phone.
The power of habits is a wild thing.
I started my morning with a prayer and went for run or another exercise; calisthenics worked out great for me.
It was a variation of many things. We can talk more if you want.
The thing is that motivation runs out.
I love all your responses, I really do... But I have a pressing issue: What if the thing I'm addicted to feels like the only thing that understands you? More than your own parents do?
@funnyHuman6624
Probably because our parents rarely understand us when we are young, and the addiction is very tricky. The addicition don't understand you, he consumes you until what's left is the false understanding and a void that needs to be fill. The more you do, the more he will portrait as the exit and the answer to everything.
