Im struggling to find ways to set boundaries and overcome this addiction. To those who have gone through it and have tips - and ways of thinking of life and their actions that helped them grow as a person please let me know. I would love any help, and anything helps.

I appreciate your honesty.

The difficulty is p.orn of itself is healthy and natural.

It's when it takes over and becomes a fixation, when we have a problem.

It creates unrealistic expectations for what actually a relationship looks like

Sex is about shared intimacy but p.orn devalues it to mere instant gratification.

But this gratification wears off and you end up chasing it in unhealthy places

It's important to decrease your intake daily .

And replace it with an outlet that burns more energy like exercise and routine and not allow yourself to be isolated or spend long periods alone 💚

Wishing you the best.

And absolutely no judgement here 💚

For me personally I went to meetings, did step work, got therapy, medication for my underlying issues, and its still a work in progress. Ive broken free from ingesting content multiple times a day and binging. I broke free from a 15 year acting out partnership. I broke free from my substance use issues. Im not completely free but I have a lot of freedom. Going on 6 years of recovery. The majority of my success comes from manging my time well, doing things I enjoy, physical excersize, managing my mental health and engaging with my support honestly etc. It is very helpful to address the roots. If you dont dig those out you'll stay sick. Abuse, sexual assault, molestation, early exposure to pornography, bad childhood, divorce, mental health struggles, domestic violence, codependency, emeshment etc All heavy hitters. I've also met people who dont have big T traumas and still have struggles. So there's that. We all have something going on though.
