I've been smoking for since I was a teen. Im to the point in my life where I wanna change and get healthy not just for me but for my family. Smoking is taking over my life and Keating me broke. I want to quit but it's so hard. Anyone else struggle with this and or have advice to quit?

@charmingWatermelon3460

you're not alone in this journey. Many others have faced similar struggles and successfully quit. One thing that might help is finding a support group or talking to people who have been through it. They can offer valuable advice and encouragement. Also, consider seeking professional help or looking into smoking cessation programs.

I am dealing with this as well and you’re right - changing something that has been apart of our routine is hard and I remind myself of that. It’s like trying to stop brushing my hair or teeth - it’s become habitual but also reminding ourselves as you said that something being a habit doesn’t mean it has benefits and can actually take over our lives. I find reminding myself as you said about your health for not only yourself but your family, and finances can help put a pause or delay and hopefully eventually a hesitation to smoking since you’re remaining present with what smoking is doing (affecting your health, time spent with family, loss of finances), not how it feels/gives us a rush in the moment.
