Quitting THC
Hello, I recently got a job offer. I cant beat it and it's a big step towards changing my life but It requires me to be drug free. I already planned on getting my usage down but I have to pass a drug test to get the job so I have to stop starting today. Hopefully I can pass in a few weeks. I'm really struggling with this. I wasn't ready to quit cold turkey and I'm scared for how I will be able to handle any changes and anxiety that will come up. I started use fir medical purpose primarily anxiety and not eating. I know the detox will be hard and I need any help and advice I can get.

Hey diplomaticBeing!
It will be tough. But you can do it! I suggest having some activities planned/lined up to help distract you; those first 10 days will suck! And your sleep patterns will most likely change because of it.
You may also start feeling emotions you've suppressed (via THC) for a while so be prepared for uncomfortable emotions. I suggest journaling. Even if it's pages of "this f*cking sucks!".
But this is a blessing in disguise (should you decide to look at it that way). You've been thinking about it and the Universe has provided you an opportunity to get there faster.
Congratulations on the job! That is something to be proud of! 🥳 Especially in this market. What will you be doing?
It sounds like you're stepping into a new life, and the cost is your old one. Don't let your old life sabotage your future!
(And if you do decide to replace your "addiction" with something new, make sure it's a healthy one!)
Yours truly,
Daily THC consumer weening myself off because I can't afford to keep the habit going! 😁☹️
Im doing okay. I actually found some detox pills and I think they are making a big difference but it's could just be placebo effect.
I am having a hard time letting go of my old life but I am excited to start something new. Very out of my comfort zone so I am scared.
I am going to be helping OTs/PTs and shadowing them mostly.
I recommend trying some detox pills if you are trying to ween off. They have mood support stuff and I think that what has helped.
