I have always been a fat kid. So i wanted to lose weight so i quit sugar but it lead to binge eating so much sweets. I can't control my portions either i eat a whole or two packets of biscuits on a stretch. I'm really addicted to sugar. Idk what to do

@bubbleDime9735

Hi, I quit drinking for 235 days, but then Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I drank with friends to get it out of my system and now I am back at the beginning on day #4. The reason I mention this is because when I am not drinking I am totally craving sugar!! The alcohol has a lot of sugar so I didn't realize the underlying addiction drinking caused. My doctor just told me three weeks ago that I have type 2 diabetes so now I must stop eating sugar! But this morning I bought 3 donuts, a large coffee with 5 creams, 5 sugars, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese and yesterday I drank 5 large McDonald's. So I fully now see how powerful of an addiction sugar is and it scares me how badly it drives me to eat sweets in a bingeable fashion. I dare say that; "Quitting sugar has been harder to quit than alcohol"

Now that we have figured out what to do, we need to figure out how we are going to do it. I gave away a brand new 5lb bag of sugar recently, and tried to switch over to having my coffee black but I still end up buying coffee with sugar and cream. It's like it's not going to hurt me if I do eat something right now, but I think we will really regret it later if we get complications due to our organs not being able to process things. Good luck on your battle with sugar!!! We must fight back and try not to make it difficult on ourselves. But I must quit asap!

Take good care (Self Care)

Blessings, Day 😊
