hi @proactiveOak6785 !

I'm super sorry about your breakup. I know it must not be easy to move on.

Please don't blame yourself for everything, we all live and learn and you shouldn't hold yourself from moving on by constantly reminding yourself of your mistakes. I would encourage you to think of the positive things you have done inside or outside of that relationship.

Speaking of the path forward, I would suggest checking out the Paths 7Cups offers for those who struggle with addiction. Or maybe if you feel comfortable, reach out to a therapist here or local to your area.

You're not alone, Oak, I promise... heartbreak happens to us all! As you enter this new season of your life, you have acquired a new perspective which will help you grow emotionally and intellectually. Please don't lose hope!

@reservedNest6140 im not able to forgive myself for the things i did, when i was drunk, i *** disrespected her, and thats the only thing hitting me from past 2 years..but its hard now cause i have started to get that painful flashbacks..i think im going through ptsd..but i never laid hands on her..this not the whole story but in short im blaming myself for all the things, the first year after our breakup i was in pain for around 6 months, i also tried to suicide but failed, then again tried with taking all sleeping pills but failed again , then somehow i picked up myself and started going to gym, joined a job to keep myself busy.but after a year, it all started coming back like  flashbacks, cause at that time i didnt knew i was doing , it was my drunken self sort of we can say another personality, but now these are getting worse, though i talked out with a listerner okay lets see, Its like now i have fully gave up. I again quitted the jon this december and from past 6 months i have isolated myself in my bedroom, somking weed all night, cause its the only thing thats making me calm, but im consuming it excessively around 10 to 8 J's..i have think am aslo stuck in this addiction..i am feeling stressfull, sucidal, dont know how many thoughts are going through my head, skipping meals even when i am somking weed, i dont get hungry..

Hi Oak, as you already know, I’m not a therapist so I’m not really sure how to go about this. You are definitely in a difficult situation. Regardless, I’m thankful that you’re here wanting to change your life around. You definitely have lots of courage❤️.

When I mentioned talking to a therapist here on the platform, I wasn’t referring to listeners. Listeners may not be trained to handle the depths of your situation, professionally. There is an option for therapists I believe, though you may have to pay. On the other hand, are you in the position to talk to a therapist local to your area? If you’re not in the position yet, maybe you can try Alcoholics Anonymous, or other communities?

I don’t mean to come off in any way forceful, but from the info you’ve given, it seems as professional help could help you in your current situation. Hope this helps❤️

Hey man,

I'm a medical marijuana patient (21) but I grew up in a trap house with my whole family struggling with substances. With weed, sometimes it helps people's chemistry and sometimes it doesn't. I have a friend who was hospitalized bc weed was triggering his mania because he was bipolar. I had a severe s###ide a-ttempt last year and was hospitalized for months after jumping 🏢. I think you need to check yourself into a facility, talk to a loved one, get somewhere safe or maybe the emergency room. Even if it didn't last I always felt better leaving outpatient than I did going in.
