Husband is a crack addict I’m at my breaking point
I love my husband I really do and aside from his drug problem he is great person. However, things have just gotten progressively worse and worse over the years. It used to be just a weekend bender thing which I thought was bad enough but now it’s an everyday thing. The fact the he is still able to get and go to work daily baffles me. I have been dealing with this for 20 years and I’m so tired I just can’t take it. I beg him to get help but he refuses he doesn’t see anything wrong with what he does. He has put us in such a financial whole time and time again which there is no need for we aren’t rich but we make enough money to live comfortably but somehow we never have enough money for our bills and he will have the audacity to act like he can’t understand why we don’t have enough money the thousands of dollars monthly that gets taking away from our family for him to get high makes me sick. And what’s worse is he will blame it on me it’s my fault I should work more hours, pick up extra shifts, not that he spends 2-300 a night on drugs. We’ve had to pull money out of our 401 to catch up on our mortgage 4 x in the past 4 years. He doesn’t help me do absolutely nothing around the house I have to work take care of the kids the animals and maintain the household alone because he is constantly high and when he’s not high he’s sleeping all day and nasty. I just wish he would see what he is doing and would get help but he won’t and quite frankly I’m tired of living like this I’m highly considering divorce I have been for a few years now but never follow through with it I don’t know why when I hate the life I’m living with him.
Who am i to judge since im lucky enough to have never tried crack (thank God)
I cant imagine living like you do and can see how troubling it must be for you. Im not good or confident enough to give advice. I dont know how you guys got to this point. Do you ever try crack? i send strength / prayers
Blessings, Day
Hi thanks for responding. I’ve never tried crack or drugs I have an occasional few glasses of wine 2-3 x a month.
@bruno425
I see it as totally unfair you are involved in any way in the drug scene and wouldnt. You probably have been slowly brainwashed by an addict. Attics are the very best liers and manipulators and can often be unstable and dangeruos. Should you start working on an exit plan???
Be safe!
