Un día a la vez / One day at a time
English:
Many people say that recovery isn't about making it perfect, but about moving forward one day at a time.
Even when there are relapses or difficult moments, continuing to try is already an important step.
If someone wants to share:
What things help them stay strong on the toughest days?
If someone wants to share their experience or something that has helped them, this can be a safe space to do so.

When people relapse, it's common to lose confidence, feel self-directed anger, and feel hopeless. The thought "I've failed" dominates in the mind. They forget that they were successful for whatever length of time it was.
When relapses are frequent, how often is the heroism of continuing to try acknowledged?
When people are feeling overwhelmed, how often do they hear, "do you think you can make it for the next 30 minutes," or hour, or whatever. In other words, transition the process into short, realistic and attainable goals.
When people are struggling, how often are they in the presence of someone who treats them with respect and dignity?
I like your heading, "one day at a time." That concept is so easily overlooked and forgotten.
@Spiritriver
It makes me think about how unfair we are to ourselves.
We value a fall more than the entire journey that came before.
Perhaps true progress isn't about avoiding setbacks, but about continuing to try again.
And yes… breaking it down into small moments changes your perspective considerably.
